Persevere

This morning I 'heard' the reminder to 
Persevere.     

Something about Faith 
that keeps on  
keepin on.....      

James actually says;
Feel Blessed and excited
when difficulties come
because it will strengthen you.
It will develop
Perseverance
and that will lead to
Maturity.
see James 1:2-4, 12, 5:7-11

Blessed and excited....
Not the first thoughts that cross my mind
when bad stuff happens....
Hmm...

Maybe I don't quite see the same value
in Perseverance
and Maturity that James does....
OR
Maybe I think I can get there
without trials...

Hm....

Lord
YOU faced difficulties
and trials
and suffering
and it changed You.

Can I too enter into this way of thinking
that difficulties
have a 'hidden' backside
that is GOLD!?

This morning
I choose to open my 'eyes'
and heart to receive the blessing
of Perseverance
in the face of difficulties.
Yes Lord.

And I anticipate Your Spirit
strengthening
and teaching me
how to do that.
