Plugged in to..... Blood?

This morning I was listening to 2 Chronicles 29:20-24  
Hezekiah king of Judah  
re-establishes the temple practices  
after his father's evil reign.   

Blood sacrifices.   
Blood sprinkled on the alter   
Blood.....         

and I was thinking 
What's with that? 
What's with the Blood?

and God tweaked a memory....
started connecting some 'dots' for me....

'On the day that you eat of the fruit
you will surely die.....' God to Adam Gen 2:17

and another thought...

'The life is in the Blood.... don't eat the blood
for it is for you to receive forgiveness of sins...' Lev 17:10,11

- So, Adam dies, and all his children are not 'plugged in' to LIFE....
They too have no life in them
because their 'blood line' from Adam
is one that contains sin....
death...
No life.

So God gave them life
through the sacrifice of an innocent life (shed blood = shed life)
But each sin
required another sacrifice
on and on....
a little bit of life
then sin -> death
a little bit of life
then sin.... death.... :(

Until Jesus.
Because His blood was perfect
Blood that gives life
Blood that goes on giving life
because
and not only did he shed his Life (blood)
but God could not be kept dead
Because His Blood is Eternal
His resurrection shows His Blood can OVERCOME all sins
Death Cannot overcome life
as darkness cannot overcome light.
Now I am continually 'plugged in' to Him.....
Hebrews 10:1-22 tells it much more clearly...

His statement, "I am the way, the truth, the Life" John 14:6
reminds me
there is no other source
Choosing the fruit of 'being like God....
without God'.... cannot generate life
because there is only one source of life
the Creator
Jesus

Oh Lord,
Your ways are so full of
wonder
so full of amazing sacrifice
to rescue me

Thank You.
for shedding your Life
to give it to
me.

I choose to be
'Plugged in'
to You.

Yeah!
