When I work out
one of the byproducts of increased strength
is muscle soreness.
The muscle is slightly damaged by the exertion
and the bodies response is to rebuild it stronger...
Hence the workout saying, 'No pain, no gain.'
Could I actually welcome the pain
as it indicates growth and increased strength?
James declares it 'All Joy'
when he faces various trials...
because this TESTING of faith
develops the strength of
Perseverance...
and James says that Perseverance
when it is finished
results in
Maturity
and Completion
ref James 1:2-4
The word used for Perseverance or Patience
implies waiting for deliverance
but it also is used in a way that
EVEN if help doesn't arrive
the person will not be discouraged and give up...
They will go until the 'end'.
Lord, Jesus
You inspire me
by the life You lived on earth.
You chose to Persevere
when others spoke otherwise
when Your flesh cried out 'Enough!'
You clung to the Father
and His instructions
and DID not Your will
but His....
Thank You Jesus
I choose to
Follow
and
Stand
and
Walk
in Your ways
day by day
for as....
long as it takes.
Yeah.
