This morning I was interested in the 'taste'
of Jeremiah...    

He asks God, "Why do the wicked prosper?" 
And God responds;   
"They don't."   
...it might look like that...   
but in the end 
they will be judged 
and found wanting....    
ref Jeremiah 12   

and I thought about my culture
where God seems to be 'absent'
or 'irrelevant'
because.... after all....
life goes on...
and nothing seems to be changed....
and nothing happens for good
or
against evil....

and yet.
There will be a day.
When all will be accounted for....

Wow.

Lord,
You ARE sovereign
even when it seems like You are missing
You are Not.
and I trust You
to cover me
in that time of judgement
...as the lamb's blood
did during the
Passover in Egypt...
and
delivered them (and me too!)
from
bondage.

Thank You Lord,
I wait on You

I rest in Your work
for me.
