Paul's letters all bring up the conflict between 'sin nature' and 'spirit nature'.  
But in one letter he reminds me that the conflict with sin and spirit can't be fought with 'rules and regulations'.... but in fact they create their own 'self-righteousness’ and pride.... Colossians 2:18-23

Instead, 'Set your minds on the things above.... put on the new self which is being renewed in the knowledge of the image of its Creator'  Colossians 3:1-10

Hmmm.... focus on my sin... keeps me lost in it
Looking to Jesus and His kingdom keeps me walking towards those good things.
