The Pause.....

When Joshua was taking the promised land, a people came to make a covenant of peace with them.  The Gibeonites were afraid and fabricated story to get a deal with Israel's leaders.
"The men of Israel sampled their provisions but did not enquire of the Lord."  Joshua 9:3-16
So they made the 'deal'.  And God held Israel to honour that 'deal' with people who were actually their enemies.

Hmmm....
I am learning that when there is a 'rush' to make a decision... I need to Pause, ask questions
and ........Pause, a wee bit more...
