victory looks like.....
This morning I was reading Proverbs
and recognized a saying that Paul repeated in Romans 12:20...
Prv 25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;
if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head,
and the LORD will reward you.
Paul's theme was bringing the Kingdom of God
to a place that is influenced or even ruled by evil.....
(like the Government then.... Roman rule in a Roman prison)
He closes the quote with "Do not be overcome by evil
but overcome evil with good." Rom 12:21
Choosing to bless.
in the face of the someone who is determined to destroy
takes the power of fear and control away from them.
When
I Choose to bless
I determine my response
- I am a Kingdom person
with the Holy Spirit
and my identity is not determined by my enemies.
It is determined by my
Lord
Saviour
Creator.
Jesus spoke similar words in Lk 6:27-36
A 'game changer' way of operating.
Choosing mental toughness
Choosing Identity in Jesus
Choosing to bless
and trust that true victory IS in
Kingdom of Heaven ways.
Yeah.
Train me for this journey Lord,
- being a warrior
with Kingdom 'weapons'
- Truth
- Mercy
- Blessing
- Limitless resources from You
I want to be ready and able
when the day comes.
I know it will
Yeah.
