The past few days I have been reading Ps 119
A Psalm dedicated to extol the grandeur of
living and loving
God's commandments and laws.

As I have been reading and enjoying this
a part of me asks the question
How does this apply to me today
New Covenant believer?
Do the Law and Commands still apply?

Some thoughts....

The Law was meant to do one thing
between 2 parties
Establish righteousness
Between God and Man
Between Man and Man

But Paul in Romans tells me
that there is a FAITH component
that is missing from the LAW of DOING (or Not doing...)
Ref Rom 10:1-13

That intrinsic in God's relationship with me
is the principle that I need to
release my striving to be good enough
to actually
LET God's Plan and Activity
save me
from my very nature (of doing)

.....Faith in Him.
The beginning
and
completion of
relatinship with my
Creator.

Lord,
I love to control my own destiny
and yet
You call me to
Trust in You
to
Rest in You
to
Find in You
all.....

I do that
again....
Today.
