2 things.

 On this Good Friday morning....   

I Just finished reading Ecclesiastes....   
Such an interesting read.
A look into the thoughts of a great mind  
a man who had opportunity like no other 
a man who experienced more than most.... ever.     
and in the end. He 'calls it'.     

2 things that are primary.
The only things that really matter....
- Fear God (He is paramount)
- Keep His commandments. Ecc 12:13

The interesting thing is that I read a similar statement
written a thousand years later
about a prophecy
that hasn't yet come to pass 2000 years after that!

John records a vision about the end of this age
about what is important enough for our enemy, Satan
to concentrate on.

The two criteria are
- Obey God's commandments
- Hold to the testimony of Jesus (He is more important than anything else)
Rev 12:17

Hmm...
a saying that comes from Scripture in 1000 BC,
and again in 60AD
about something over 2000 years later is a
Timeless Truth.....
Fundamental Foundational
.....Starting
and ending place.

Lord Jesus,
You are Paramount in my life
and
I seek Your strength and wisdom
to obey Your commands

You are
First and foremost....
everything else follows that.
Really simple
Not really easy.

Thank You for calling me
reminding me
to build my life
from that place....
