This morning I was reading about
God downloading details of the temple
to King David to pass on to his son, Solomon
Lots of gold and how to make this and that....
The temple
Where the box that held the
Covenant...
....God's promises
and
the box that was
'God's footstool'...
The place where God's presence
abided.... ref 1Chron 28:2,11,12

How cool would that be?
make a house
to host
the promises
and
presence of God!
Wow.

and THEN
I happened to be reading 1 Corinthians....
That God has chosen
another place to inhabit.... ref 1Cor 3:16, 6:19

Me.

Host to the
God of the Old
And New promises
The Covenant
and
The Presence

In me.

The Foundation of the temple David planned
- Cut stone

The foundation of the temple that is me....
- Christ the cornerstone ref 1 Pet 2:4-8
the rock that gives life... ref 1 Cor 10:4
the only foundation. ref 1 Cor 3:10-15

Wow.
If only David could have looked ahead
and seen....
What wonder...
What amazement
that God would step away
from earthly glitter
and choose to
inhabit
broken
eartly
clay
vessels... 2Cor 4:7

Thank You Lord
for choosing
me
for Your home.
Where You hang Your 'hat'
where You
Abide....

My King.
Your Palace
is Me.

I am humbled.
and
amazed.
