Happy Happy Father, ....me in Jesus?

This morning a bit of a download regarding 
making The Father 'happy'....   

1Jn 4:9 This is how God showed his love among us:  
He sent his one and only Son into the world
that we might live through him.    

That I would have life through 
Jesus     

The Father's will  
and 
pleasure 
is to give me life 
through His Son Jesus....     

Yeah, yeah...  nothing new...
bla bla bla...
except...

I somehow still have this
'become independent' mind set....
....Get Jesus' help to be righteous before God
and then for some reason
when I have 'made it'
I think I should be
independent...
....when I 'can do it myself'....
that makes God 'happy'....

Hmmm....

He actually says it makes Him 'happiest'
when I dive in to Him.
more and more...
When I rely on Him
more and more
When I become more and more
like a child.....
dependant.

but ooooh that feels 
opposite to what I should do...

and John tells me what that
'releying on' looks like
- Love for the Father
that is lived out by
- Love for each other
- giving me confidence in God's presence
ref 1Jn 4:10-17

Lord Jesus
I am Sorry that I think of you like
'trainer wheels'
to get me going
so I can 'do it myself'....

I realize that You WANT me
to rest on,
lean into,
continue to find You to be
Everything I need....

So I do.

I choose You today
to be
More for me.
maybe even

everything.... :)
