It's all good until someone get's their eye.... Dies!?...

This morning I was going for a walk
and talk with my Lord. :)

David did that too.
He walked and talked
and sang and danced....
with and before God.
He was called
'a man after God's own heart'
ref 1Sam 13:14, Acts 13:22

and one day
a man reached out to save the box
that God's presence was connected to
and that man
died.
struck dead
by God.
David didn't follow the instructions
and that disobedience
killed a man.

and David was
Angry
and
Afraid.
of God. ref 1 Chron 13:7-12

Whoa.

Hold the phone.
Who wants the 'God box' now?
Too dangerous....
Don't mess with it....
Stay away....

So they left it.
They walked away.
and it 'landed' at
Obed-Edom's house.....
1Chron 13:14 The ark of God
remained with the family of Obed-Edom
in his house for three months,
and the LORD blessed his household
and everything he had.

Hmm...

Hangin out with God.....
Happy, carefree,
careless...
....Afraid....
or
In His presence...
Blessing.....

Same God
Different outcome.
something was different.

Scripture doesn't tell us exactly how Obed-Edom
treated that Box that was connected to God's presence....
But I suspect it was a VERY different
posture.
attitude.
.... very careful.....

Hmm.

Lord,
I enjoy walking and talking with You
and I don't feel scared of of You...
Yet....
You are King
and
Master
and
Creator.
and....
....Brother,
the one who loves me
more than any....

Teach me
the posture
and attitude for my heart
that is
Appropriate...
To Love You with all my
heart and mind and strength.
for You are
Awe some.
