This morning I was struck by James' call
to ACTION
that validates faith.     

In James 1:21-27 he writes about
listening to the word....    
accepting the word...   

spending time in God's word, 
every day, 
a good thing.....?    

of course.......!

But James says that when I do that
and DON'T shift my life to line up with it
to
DO it....

I miss the point.

Read it - it can save me
Do it - otherwise I am deceived

 

Thank You Lord Jesus
for reminding me
You don't speak to me to 'save' me
but
You speak to me
to bring change
to what I
DO.

Rubber hits the road there.

I choose to listen
and
do
today.
