Walking on water.
This morning I was looking at a shift in teaching of Jesus with the disciples....
Jesus teaches them in parables (and explains them)
and then when the disciples give Jesus some 'direction' for crowd management
it changes...
He tells them to deal with the situation by supplying the solution themselves....
after all...
they have the creator of the universe with them. :P
They don't get it. "We only have 5 loaves and 2 fish."
Jesus demonstrates.... and the people are fed.
In the very next situation is Jesus walking on the water.
Peter wants to come to him on the water......
Gets out and 1/2 way there starts to sink....
"Jesus, save me!"
and after Jesus does....
He uses it as a teaching moment....
'Peter, you had the solution right here.... Me.
Why didn't you trust me?
This is a choice to trust issue....
This is a faith issue.
You have the power to choose to trust me more.....'
The power to choose.
The power is in Jesus
but the choice to trust is completely in my control.
And He wants me to move to that level.
to step out
....even when I am sinking
trust Him
more.
Yes.
Lord Jesus,
this is new information.
This is a new level with You.
food management.....
walking on water..
finances...
time management
or whatever else it is....
Trusting that You are leading
and
supplying
what I need
in the situation.
Yes.
enough...
More than enough
You are everything I need
Today.
